Happy Birthday's eve to Dave! YAY! He's hooked this year. I got him a gameboy mini and he loves it. YAY! Shopping for dudes is way hard...Anyway, Oregon is beautiful. As always. I've been keeping myself busy giving masterclasses this week, which has been realllllly fun. Who knew! I've always wanted to do some music stuff here and it finally happened. Sweet. I'm going back to my old high school today to give another class.

So my trip is almost winding down. Oregon is the last leg of my visit and in a few weeks I'll be back in Thailand. Crazy. I've won't get contemplative yet, but what an awesome trip. Ahhh.

I can't wait to see lil' cheddar though. Oh, in case you haven't seen this yet..please vote..

Austin Rocks!  I've never been to Texas..except driving through Amarillo and the pan handle a few years back. That was lame but Austin is a great...the Mexican food is the best I've had since I lived in Mexico..I just had BBQ for dinner and I'm full but still hungry for Mexican food.  Schaubs and I made key lime pie for dessert...so basically, I'm catching up on some seriously missed food from the past year of my life.  I don't miss Thai food and I definitely don't miss rice.

So I'm having a really relaxing time here. The weather is mild, Kelly's baby is the cutest kid ever and I'm eating. Ahhhh.. See you in Oregon

Wow...after a long trip, we're in Rochester. We first went to California where the 60 degree weather made it cold enough for my parka..yeah, I know. Visiting Dave's parents is always hilarious and we spent an awesome week recovering from jet lag via episodes of 24. Yes! Now we're in cold (for real) Rochester. Our apartment is great..little 2 story and fully loaded, most importantly with a real kitchen. I'm in heaven. We're having some friends over tonight and I can't wait to catch up with everyone.

So we don't have a car here, which could be awful but the winter has been mild so there's not that much snow anywhere...weird. Today, we found the bus schedule and it's free with student ID and I was all impressed that we were figuring transportation on Day 1! Well, we go to the stop, and wait and wait and no bus. Lame. So we walked. I think it's about a mile to schoo,l which was pretty painful with the wind today. I think the high was 21. Not cool. But we got there. Met with old teachers, friends, the music library and most importantly crab meat rangoons from the dim sum restaurant by school. They were even better than what I remember..YUM! An even cooler part about the restaurant was that our waitress was from Laos..hello!
