We're safely in China. What an experience so far! It started with the craziest taxi ride to the Bangkok airport. The guy drove through china town (appropriate right..but totally the wrong way) and then needed to stop for some natural gas. But since he went a lame way we were late and had to tell him to get back on the road! haha..Dave yelled (I've never seen that) and then the taxi drive got freaked out and drove like a pyscho almost side-swiping a car. haha. It was totally whack!

So now we're here, in Guilin. My first impressions are that it's way smokey here and very neon. We spent all day yesterday exlporing the many parks and lakes in Guilin. We went into a ginormous cave..it took about an hour to walk through! Yesterday morning we were pretty freaked about trying Chinese food...so we ate at McDonald's. Hahahha..hilare!

We met up with our group yesterday and everyone is really nice and friendly. There's 2 Australians, 3 americans, and 1 Brit. It should be a really fun trip. Sounds like it's more of a food tour via bike than a bike tour. But I'm way game for that. Our dinner last night was amazing! It was spicey schezuan food...oh my gosh..it was amazing. I had no idea about Chinese food! It's always such crap in the states.

Seriously though...everyone here smokes! It's soo gross. There's no such thing as non-smoking anything. Not so good for the ol' asthma! HA! And everyone spits too! It's way hilarious and soo different than Thailand. I love it! Well....we have to go buy towels b/c apparently there aren't any at all the guesthouses we're staying at. So better go. We fly to Guiyang today and start biking tomorrow! WAHOO!
